Derek Huether is a Principal Solutions Engineer within Atlassian's Enterprise Strategy and Planning group. He designs solutions to improve the outcomes of Atlassian's largest and most complex customer accounts. Prior to Atlassian, Derek helped transform how people work at companies such as Walmart, GEICO, and Capital One and federal agencies like the National Archives and National Institutes of Health.
He was one of the Delivery Management track founders for the International Consortium of Agile, which included him defining and detailing learning objectives in areas of Agile Project and Delivery Management and Delivery at Scale. He is the author of Metrics Cookbook and Zombie Project Management. With over 600 articles posted, he writes about improving things and less about controlling and managing them.
He founded Agile Baltimore, an organization dedicated to promoting Agile in the Baltimore, Maryland region.
